On Monday, December 5th, at the age of 78, Michael Joseph Marks of Pittsburgh, PA, passed away at St. Clair Hospital. Devoted husband to Bonnie Marks for 56 years. Cherished father to Michael Marks and daughter-in-law Julie Marks, Kelly (Marks) Frycz and son-in-law Steven Frycz, and Jodi (Marks) Larkin. Fun-loving Pap Pap to Carys Lee, Charlotte, MJ, Fiona, Genevieve, and Maren Kelly. Brother to Rose Marie Schons, Richard Marks, Connie Marks, and deceased siblings Jeanie Reinsel and Charles Marks. Loving uncle to many nieces and nephews.

Michael was a passionate doctor who cared deeply for his patients. He completed his residency at St. Margaret’s Hospital in family medicine in 1977 and was a successful family doctor of Deer Lakes Medical Associates until he retired in June 2003. Anyone that worked with Michael felt his care and walked away laughing with a new joke in hand. His greatest joy in life was his family. He and Bonnie traveled often over the years and did everything together. He was so proud of his three children and dearly loved his six grandchildren. They brought him much joy and nothing made him happier than being their Pap Pap! Michael was an avid hunter, with a personality that was larger than life. He made friends easily and was loved by everyone. In his younger years, he was the life of the party!

Michael was surrounded by his family in his last days all the while keeping his humor, the best he could. His laugh, his stories, his advice, his jokes, and his presence, will be missed by many…

Arrangements by BEINHAUER, 2828 Washington Road, McMurray 15317 724-941-3211. The family will have a Celebration of Life in 2023. There will not be a viewing or funeral at this time.
