Donald Paul, age 92, of Pittsburgh, passed away June 16, 2022. He was the very beloved husband of the late Theresa Paul for 57 years, loving and much admired father of James Paul, Thomas (Linda) Paul, David Paul, Cynthia Paul, Daniel (Edward Galvin) Paul and Gary (Rebecca) Paul; Very proud and greatly loved grandfather of Virginia (Cary Miller), Stewart, Elizabeth, John (Kate), Daniel, Julianna, Gregory, Lauren, Joseph, Maggie, and Nate; Great-grandfather of eight; son of the late Francis and Mary Paul. He was the loving brother of Frances Paul and the late Robert Paul. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, his loving companion for the past five years, Ellie Smith, as well as many cherished friends and neighbors.
After serving in the US Army, Don worked for General Electric, US Steel, and had a very successful and long career at Fischbach and Moore, where he rose to national Vice President of Sales, and then General Manager of their Pittsburgh office. Upon retiring from that position after 30 years, he started Paul Electric which he ran for another ten years. Don loved to play golf, bridge and gin, in addition to being a voracious reader. He was a golf member at Chartiers Country Club for 29 years. After Theresa passed he spent his final years enjoying his life at Friendship Village in Upper Saint Clair, where he made several close friends.
Arrangements by BEINHAUER. Friends will be received Monday from 2:00 – 4:00 PM and 6:00 – 8:00 PM at 2828 Washington Road, McMurray. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Catherine Laboure Parish, St. Louise de Marillac Church on Tuesday at 12:00 PM. Please meet at the church. Entombment at Queen of Heaven.
