Obituary for Christopher Michael Lambl

Age 65, of Clarion, PA unexpectedly and peacefully passed away on Wednesday, March 17, 2021 at his home. Loving brother of Dr. Barbara B. Lambl, George R. Lambl, and Andrew F. (Jean) Lambl; caring uncle of David (Bridget) Lambl; cherished son of the late George F. and Wanda J. (Socha) Lambl. Chris is also survived by his former wife, Susan Byrne, former sister in law Judy Fischer and many loving cousins. He graduated from Carnegie Mellon University in 1977 with a Fine Arts & Painting degree. In 1981 Chris and Sue were married and moved to New York City. Chris earned his Master’s degree while studying and teaching at the Pratt Institute, School of Design and Applied Arts in Manhattan. Chris studied privately with accomplished artist Michael Aviano while also working at The Computer Graphics Lab providing critical artistic input to the software engineers helping improve their rendering, animation, light and color treatments. He and Sue moved back to Pittsburgh in 1986. Chris then worked as an adjunct professor at Clarion University of Pennsylvania teaching Fine Arts, computer graphics, and painting for 5 years. He remained in Clarion until his passing. Christopher leaves a legacy of paintings in the old master tradition produced during his lifetime as a Master Artist that will now be cherished. Chris will be remembered as a good man with a gentle, honest spirit, kind smile, good humor, warm heart, and love of family. He will be dearly missed by all who knew him.
