Cathleen Marie (Hodges) Trainor, 87, passed away following a struggle against her fourth case of cancer. She is survived by her children, John (Gale), Michael (Rebecca) and Anne (Craig); grandchildren, Benjamin, Cathleen, Meghan (Michael), Madison (Daniel), Griffith and Natasha; and a great-granddaughter, Millie. She was preceded in death by her husband, John; father Alexander; mother Blanche; sister, Patricia; and her son, William. Cathleen retired from the Allegheny County Bar Association staff in 2000 after 15 years of service. She was also an active member of the League of Women Voters and the local Democratic Party. Her passion was ensuring that everyone who has the right to vote exercises that right, regardless of their political views. Although, if you shared her same political ideology, you were a friend for life. Per her wishes, there will be a private family interment at Queen of Heaven cemetery in McMurray.
