Obituary for Carolyn Sue Beinhauer

Please attend livestream service at Carolyn Sue Beinhauer Service

Carolyn Sue Beinhauer was a caring wife, mother and friend. She left this world much too soon on Saturday, December 9, 2023, at the age of 67.

She was born in Pittsburgh on December 28, 1955, a daughter of John and Geraldine Constance Walcroft Zabetka.

She met her husband, David Beinhauer, in 1980 and together started a lifelong journey spanning 40 plus years. Together they shared memorable vacations, a few moves away from their hometown of Pittsburgh to Erie, PA and even to Bozeman, MT. They have two wonderful children, Adam and Alicia, who were included in many of their life’s adventures.

Sue loved spending time in the kitchen, creating delicious meals for her family. Her specialties included cookies and pies, so famous that the neighborhood kids deemed her kitchen the best hang-out spot on the block! Sue also loved to garden and was known as the resident green thumb.

She was always willing to volunteer her time to charity or to anyone in need of help. Sue’s caring personality shone through to the very end.

Sue is survived by her husband David, son Adam Beinhauer and daughter Alicia (John) Bair; sister Connie (Paul) Talak; brother Jim (Sue) Zabetka; sister Barb (Chris) Getty; sister Patti (Keith) Davis and her late brother John Zabetka. Sue is also survived by many beloved nieces and nephews.

Family and friends are welcome at the Beinhauer Funeral Home, 2828 Washington Road, McMurray (724-941-3211), on Tuesday from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. and Wednesday from 9 a.m. until the time of service at 10 a.m.

Please consider a donation to the ALS Association at donate.als.org on her behalf to aid in finding a cure and providing care to those who are affected.
