As a teenager, Brian successfully achieved the rank of Eagle Scout. He graduated from Langley High School, earned his undergraduate degree from Penn State and his master’s from Pitt.

Since joining the Mt. Lebanon School District in 1995, Brian served in an exceptional manner as a teacher, assistant principal, and principal. Brian was the epitome of a strong, consistent, and dedicated leader. His example will be remembered by all throughout the district and community.

Brian was a constant source of support, laughter, and encouragement for all who worked both with him and for him. Brian was exemplary in all leadership positions. He formed lasting and productive relationships with faculty and staff while providing fairness, stability and comfort to all. Brian’s integrity along with his dedication to the students, faculty, and staff within the Mt. Lebanon School District and community is unparalleled.

Mt. Lebanon holds special significance as it is also where he met his wife Keary. After his diagnosis, all who knew him rallied in support of Brian. He fought until the very end and never gave up; always staying hopeful and courageous. His legacy lives on in his sons, as well as the many students, faculty and staff whose lives he impacted.
