Obituary for Anne F. Dever-Arnold
Age 59, of Etna, passed away on Sunday, January 22, 2023. Anne was born in Bay Village, Ohio to James P. Dever and Anne Marie Schirmer Dever. She was the stepdaughter of Nancy Cross Dever. Anne was the loving mother of Sawyer Arnold; beloved sister of Mary Pat (Thomas) Murphy, Kate (Dave) Simcox, James P. (Janeanne Gorman) Dever, Trudy (Mark Mead) Cross, Mark (Jan) Cross, Ph.D., and Scott (Wendy) Cross; cherished aunt of Kevin (Stephanie Coley) Erdner, Bryan (Velisia Candra) Erdner, Megan Dever, and Collin (Jennilyn Stripling) Dever; she is also survived by great-nieces and nephews.
A 1981 graduate of Bethel Park High School and Penn State University with a bachelor’s degree in business in 1985, she started her own cleaning company as well as spent many years working in the Hospitality Industry.
Anne was known for her quick wit, her kind and loving heart and her “emojis”. Much like her father, she had a knack for telling stories; “don’t let the truth get in the way of a good story”, Dad would say. Favorite indulgences included roller coasters, desserts-especially Crème Brûlée, and dogs. Anne had an infectious personality and will be greatly missed by all who loved her.
Relatives and friends are invited to a gathering to celebrate her life on Wednesday February 8th in the Beinhauer-Connell Funeral Home, 5120 West Library Avenue, Bethel Park, PA (412-835-7940). Visitation is from 11AM to 1PM followed by her Funeral Service at 1PM. Interment will be on a later date.
