Ann (Moraca) Aquino was born in Calabria, Italy, August 7, 1921. She immigrated with her parents to McKeesport, Pennsylvania in 1929, and lived most of her adult life in Pittsburgh, PA. She died peacefully at home with her daughter in Hilton Head, SC, on December 5, 2022. Ann is predeceased by her parents, Tredicino Moraca and Elisa Manfredi Moraca, as well as two siblings, Dr. Pat Moraca and Mary Jean Moraca Maresch. She is also predeceased by her husband, Louis F. Aquino, Sr.; and her son, Louis F. Aquino, Jr. She is survived by her brother, Dr. John Moraca and wife, Betty Rogozewicz; her daughter, Dr. LuAnn Aquino; her granddaughter, Anna Lisa Wachtel; and many loving nieces and nephews. Ann was a devout Catholic, devoted to her faith and family. She was a loving daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother, aunt, neighbor, and friend. Ann graduated from Douglas Business College in McKeesport, PA and finished in record time at the top of her class. She worked several jobs over the years including the night shifts at AT&T as an international operator. Ann will be most remembered for her hard work, her creative and generous spirit, her uniquely boundless energy well into her senior years, her great sense of humor and infectious smile, her beauty and exquisite taste, her gourmet Italian cuisine, scrumptious pizzelles and biscotti, and the immaculate home she always kept. Everyone enjoyed her company, and she had countless close friends. Ann will be missed by all who knew and loved her. Friends and family will be received at BEINHAUER FUNERAL HOME IN PETERS TOWNSHIP, 2828 Washington Road, McMurray (724-941-3211), on Monday, December 26, 2022 from 4-8 PM. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, December 27, 2022 at 10 AM in Our Lady of Hope Parish, St. Gabriel Church. Interment in Queen of Heaven Cemetery.
