Obituary for Amy Marie Christoforetti

Amy Marie Christoforetti, 42, of Clapham Common, London, formerly of Peters Twp., passed away unexpectedly and peacefully in her sleep on Tuesday, March 23, 2021.

Amy will be forever missed and dearly loved by her family and all who knew her. We, her family, have been lifted by prayers, kind words and generous deeds of family and friends from around the world.

She was born March 20, 1979, in San Antonio, Texas, the beloved daughter of Russell J. and Lucy (LaPlace) Christoforetti.

Amy graduated from Villanova University in 2001. Following her graduation with a BSBA in Finance she was initially employed by Vanguard before joining Ernst & Young (EY) in New York City. In 2014 Amy transferred to EY of the United Kingdom where she advanced to her current position of UK&I and UKFS Resource Management Director.

In addition to her loving parents, Amy is survived by her three brothers, John Christoforetti and his wife Erin (Ippolito), Jeff Christoforetti and his wife Elizabeth (Meyers) and Jim Christoforetti and his wife Ruth (Stefanski}; six nephews, John, Gino, Peter, Michael, Bradford and Leo Christoforetti; three nieces, Beatrice, Filomena and Alexandra Christoforetti; two aunts, Mary M. (LaPlace) Lukacs and Julie (LaPlace) McCutcheon; one uncle, Al LaPlace; and cousins, Margaret and James Lukacs, Nathan McCutcheon, Ian and Shae LaPlace and Alex Radion.

She was preceded in death by grandparents, Jean and Inez (McInerney) LaPlace, and John and Elenore (Paschis) Christoforetti, a nephew, Marco Christoforetti; two uncles, Tim and John LaPlace; an aunt, Donna (Christoforetti) Radion and a cousin, Chad McCutcheon.

Family and friends are welcome from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, April 30, in Beinhauer Funeral Home, 2828 Washington Road, McMurray (724-941-3211). Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Saturday 9:30 a.m. in St. John XXIII Parish, St. Benedict the Abbot Church (The Funeral Mass will be live-streamed and accessible at www.john23.org). Interment will follow in Queen of Heaven Cemetery.

Amy was a devout member of the Jesuit Church of the Immaculate Conception Farm Street where she helped feed the homeless of London. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in her name to Washington City Mission.
