Alice Smith, aged 91 passed away on March 31, 2021 in Pittsburgh, PA. Alice was born in Pittsburgh on August 4, 1929 the youngest of seven children to Charles Lindeman and Frances (Wetterau) Lindeman all of whom have preceded her in death. Alice is survived by her husband of 64 years Robert Smith, her two sons Ken (Joan) and Don (Amy), three grandchildren Melissa, Matthew (Lara), and Laurel (Randy), and one great grandchild Owen. She was very active in church activities serving as an elder, teaching Sunday School, leading women’s circles, volunteering in the church office and serving others through pastoral care. Alice was extremely talented with her hands she was an accomplished china painter painting everything from plates to jewelry, she was a quilter turning many pieces of fabric, handkerchiefs, and neckties into masterpieces. She was also well known as a jokester she always had a joke or pun at the ready for each and every person she met. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Mt. Lebanon Christian Church 367 Cedar Blvd, Mt Lebanon PA 15228 or the Friendship Village Employee Appreciation Fund. Due to the Covid Pandemic there will be no viewing. A celebration of her life will be held at a future date. Interment will be at Westminster Church in Upper St. Clair, PA.
