Obituary for Isabella B. DiMarco

Age 99, of The Pines in Mt. Lebanon, formerly from Bridgeville, died peacefully on the evening of December 17, 2021. She was the daughter of the late Umberto and Lucia Bernardi; wife of the late John DiMarco; and sister of the late Sergio Bernardi, Lucy Bernardi, and Yolanda Massella; beloved aunt of Thomas Massella, Jr., Kimberly Harris, Dr. John D. Massella, and the late Jacquelyn Naughton.

Isabella was a devout Catholic and long- time member of St. Agatha Church, Corpus Christi Parish. Isabella was a licensed practical nurse who worked for a local doctor in Bridgeville for many years. Isabella knitted and crocheted, and was a talented seamstress, baker, and cook. Multiple generations of family members wear her handmade slippers, sweaters, afghans, and scarves to this day. Her home was a favorite destination on Christmas Day. She loved listening to the radio, watching the Pirates play, and reading romance novels. Isabella and her sister Yolanda attended the final game of the 1960 World Series and witnessed Mazeroski's walk-off home run.

The family would like to thank all of the caregivers at the Pines for their tremendous support. Isabella enjoyed living there. We will miss you, Aunt Isa.
