BFS Dunk Tank benefits local causes

Beinhauer Family Services is proud to announce that $1,000 was raised at their donation dunk tank on Peters Township Community Day, to benefit both Peters Township resident Geri Whalen, and the Pittsburgh area-based Michael J. Novosel Foundation.

BFS Dunk Tank Benefits

Geri is a young mother of three who has been battling juvenile-onset diabetes since age 9, and who is currently undergoing intense treatment while awaiting a second kidney transplant, as well as new pancreas. The Michael J. Novosel Foundation (, named after a Pittsburgh native and USAF war hero, assists veterans returning home in their transition to civilian life.

Both of these beneficiaries were recently met at the Peters Township location of Beinhauer Family Funeral Homes and Cremation Services by a delegation from the company. Owner and CEO Rick Beinhauer, Director of Operations Scott Beinhauer, and Director of Community Outreach Katie Brandt shook hands with Geri Whalen, the young mom from Venetia, and with George Metz, Director of The Michael J. Novosel Foundation.

The Beinhauer family wants to express their deep appreciation to all community members who supported this fundraiser so well!
