The BEINHAUER CAREGIVER EXCELLENCE AWARD for March was presented to Beth Hamill, Office Coordinator and Volunteer Coordinator at Interim Hospice, on April 25.
Beth, known as a most patient, caring and resourceful person to her coworkers, is a calming force for the patients and the staff.
She always has time for the hospice patients and their families. She learns individual patients’ likes and dislikes, and then not only makes sure they have all the supplies and all the answers they need, but also that they get treats and surprises on days special to them, and on holidays. Most of the gifts she will provide are handmade on her own time and with her own resources.
She truly makes each patient feel heard and special, making this hospice feel like an extension of the patient’s family.
Beth was presented her award by Katie Brandt, Beinhauer’s Community Outreach Director. — Congratulations, Beth!
The Beinhauer Caregiver Excellence Award consists of a $50 gift card and a certificate, along with an entry into the drawing for the Caregiver Excellence Award of the Year.
