On the occasion of the Peters Township Community Day on June 24, 2017, the Beinhauer Family ran a Dunk Tank to benefit The City Mission in Washington, PA. On the campus of the Mission, just prior to this Community Day, ground had been broken for their latest project: A new, 22-bed residential facility for homeless veterans, called The Patriot House. With homelessness and addiction being a prevalent threat to veterans, this project couldn’t be built at a better time. The City Mission has long been supporting at-risk veterans, as well as many others, with job training, substance abuse treatment, as well as spiritual direction–all while providing, of course, the lifelines of food and shelter.
Both Rick and Scott Beinhauer are veterans themselves, and love supporting causes that help the veteran community. Not long after the Peters Township Community Day fundraiser, Scott Beinhauer was happy to present another veteran, Dr. Sally Mounts, Director of Development at The City Mission, with a check earmarked to support The Patriot House. The Beinhauer Family wants to express their gratitude to the members of the Peters Township community who came out and supported their Dunk Tank fundraiser!
