I only knew Guzzi for a few years but I never once seen him not smile he was always kind to me and very humble! We had a chance one late night to have a good discussion about what he had planned and what he wanted to do with himself! He had such a passion for his visions! It's a shame to see such a brilliant person like him go but at least one thing is for sure That young man truly lived his life they way he wantedand not a lot of people can honestly say that! Throughout our years of being a part of the USC band family, my mother and I were given the privlege of getting to know "Guzzi" and his family. Endless days of band camp, the cold friday night games, long bus rides and band trips were the times when I got to see Guzzi as simply put; a great person. Although I was not one of Guzzi's close friends, I knew him as the person who was always making jokes, getting on our directors nerves with his "antics" and just having a great time. No matter if you were one of his best friends or just someone he knew from afar, Guzzi would always make a point to make you feel appreciated. While his time here was far to short, he really did live life the way that many only dream of. My heart goes out to his family and friends and know that the entire USC community is by your side.
